Wildflowers Run Wild

Spring is a magical time on Catalina. The good amount of rain that we have experienced so far has morphed the winter earth tones of the Island into a carpet of green with colorful wildflowers emerging as patches of color across the landscape.

When you visit the interior, you can expect to see island poppies, lupines, blue dicks, Indian paintbrush, rattleweed bushes and giant coreopsis. There are also rare, hard-to-find cliff spurges, willow flowers, early cactus blooms and lemonade berries.

Click here to explore some of the native and non-native flowers that are in bloom now on Catalina Island.
